What is “Your Support”?

When I first thought of the idea to start a blog, I really wanted the content to be valuable for a wide variety of people navigating the world of health, wellness, and chronic disease. Especially those living with obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disease.

For the general population, health and wellness is daunting. There is information constantly being thrown at you. Do this, not that. And often times information will contradict itself! “Fruit is great for you” “Well… it has a ton of sugar. And sugar is bad for you.”

For many of us, we want to do what is best for our bodies and our minds in order to feel our best and live our best lives. We want to make decisions now that will reward us now and in the future.

It all sounds great. But, it is not easy. 

What makes this even HARDER… living with a chronic disease or health condition. A chronic disease will make it feel like our bodies are rejecting us. It is even MORE important to know how to best help ourselves. Living with a chronic disease like obesity, diabetes, and metabolic conditions leaves so many unanswered questions. Often times we feel helpless. We may not know what to do. We may not know where to find answers. This scenario is stressful. And frankly, the last thing we all need to worry about.

I made “Your Support” to help bridge those answers for you. I want you to have a resource you can use to gain insight and assurance. A one stop shop. A place to learn and also to share. I want you to feel supported. In all reality, there are so many of us fighting the same battle. Someone else has your same questions. Someone else is trying to figure it all out. There is no reason to make it harder than it is. We can walk together.
